| Is is critical for spiritual growth that believers regularly read and study God's word. Bible reading and prayer are among the important habits that we refer to as "Spiritual Disciplines". One thing that helps to be disciplined is to have a plan. Below are some possible plans to consider. | Life Journal Plan. Page 12 and 13 of your Life Journal give a daily reading plan that takes you through the entire Bible in one year. The daily requirement is 4-5 chapters a day. Modified Life Journal Plan. Read the Old Testament passages one year and the New Testament/Psalms passages the next. The daily requirement there is 1-2 chapters a day. Key Chapters Plan. This plan takes you through the entire Bible in one year, but only focuses on key chapters of the Bible. The daily requirement in this plan is one chapter a day. It is also availabe in print at the church. BiblePlan.org allows you to sign up for 10 different plans. You choose a plan and a translation. A link to BibleGateway.com is emailed to you daily with the passage. This is great if you need reminders! Of these, we recommend New Testament in a Year. Just choose your translation preference and enter your email address. Online Bible
